Blackfyne FC Celebrate County Recognition at Durham FA Awards

To be recognised among the final three clubs in the county was a massive honour for everyone connected with Blackfyne and represents a fantastic achievement for a club of our size.

The awards evening was a brilliant occasion and a great opportunity to celebrate the people who make grassroots football happen across County Durham. From coaches and managers to committee members, volunteers, referees and everyone who gives their time behind the scenes, the evening recognised the incredible contribution made by volunteers throughout the county.

There was a real sense of pride within the Blackfyne group on the night, and although we didn't take home the Club of the Year award, simply reaching the final three was something everyone at the club can be extremely proud of.

For a club the size of Blackfyne FC to be recognised among the top three clubs across the whole county is a fantastic achievement — and a reflection of the hard work and commitment of the many volunteers who continue to drive the club forward.

A special congratulations goes to Hebburn Town Youth, who were deserved winners of the Club of the Year award. We would also like to congratulate all of the other winners and nominees who were recognised on what was a fantastic celebration of grassroots football.

A huge thank you to everyone at Durham FA for organising such a great evening and for providing a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the volunteers and clubs who make grassroots football possible across the county.

A massive well done to everyone involved at Blackfyne FC. Brilliant stuff! 💙💛👏
